James and Foster jamming.

Jay minored in music and supposedly dabbled on the piano. James wanted to see if Foster has Jay's talent so they played some tunes on JoJo's piano over Thanksgiving.

I wish this was my Christmas card!!

Funny Boy!

Santa at River Hills

This is us getting ready to go and then a few pictures at River Hills. Foster had to sit in Jay's lap to take the picture. Santa still makes him cry, but it was not as bad as last year. He would talk to him at a distance. He just did not want to sit in his lap. I think Santa's beard smelled (just kidding in case Santa's is reading this blog). Foster also enjoyed the cookies that the kids were able to decorate themselves.

Harris playing basketball

This Saturday we went to meet Santa and then to watch Harris play basketball. Harris did a great job and scored a basket. Foster cheered him on the whole time. He was very proud of his cousin. Here are a few action shots.
The first one Harris is in position to receive a pass. The second Harris made a great bounce pass to the post and the third is of him taking a shot (that went in).

Nina's Baby Shower

We had Nina's shower this weekend. She is due 01/17/09 which is actually the same day Celine Dion will be in Atlanta. Anyway, it was a lot of fun and I think she got some great stuff for this baby. We do not know what it is. I believe someone made the comment to her that, "she is one of those people." Oh how those people get on our nerves:) Just kidding!!! We can't wait to see what it is on the 17th.
I have to give kudos to Matt Nicholas. He did the flowers and they were wonderful. I told everyone at the shower that I did them, but I think I need to tell the true story now. You all have to go to his shop in Fondren (M. Nicholas Collection) and buy everything you see. I know we are in a "recession" but you want Matt as your friend!!!

I wish I had larger pictures of the flowers. The one on the left is a baby carriage covered in moss. It was wonderful.

Best Wishes Nina! Don't forget to breathe.

I want to be on t.v!!!!

I forgot to include that the t.v. crews were there to film our afternoon activities on Thanksgiving. Here is a photo of Mom and Foster hustling to get on camera. The reporter wanted to know what everyone was thankful for. Foster said that he was thankful to have such a great Mom:)

Thanksgiving

We went to Greenwood for Thanksgiving and had a nice time. The whole family was there and Lucy's mother joined us too. It was great to see Lou. I am sure she finds our family very overwhelming. With 7 boys running around and Julie and Allison dipping into the "juice" it can get obnoxious.

Games and Birthday Celebration

We were able to enjoy games after the big dinner this Thanksgiving. The Melton's moved in next door and they had horseshoes, bean bag toss and croquet. We had a friendly game of croquet against the Melton's. The Swayze family won and I do not think Floyd enjoyed that. Foster liked to throw the bean bags into the hole. He did not want to play with others.
We also celebrated Harris' 7th birthday. Mother caught his hair on fire with the candles, but I did not get a picture.

Foster Admiring Greatness

After Ole Miss beat LA/Monroe and became bowl eligible, Dad felt the need to let Greenwood know that he is proud to be a Rebel. We do not seem to mind too much for two reasons:
1) I do not live in Greenwood
2) It has been a long time since Ole Miss has had this kind of season.
Fortunately, Jay has converted to an Ole Miss fan and was obliged to take a picture with Foster next to "Greatness." As you can see in the photo Foster is looking at the Ole Miss figure in awe. He is probably understanding now what people have been talking to him about for the last 22 months.
