Christmas carolers at the Meacham house

How excited were we last night! Around 6:30 we see this pick-up truck drive up with a large trailer filled with lights and pretty little girls. I yell to Foster to come and see what is going on. He peeks out of the window and starts to jump up and down. When they get to the door and I open it he clams up. What a weakling. All of these girls standing at his door to spread Christmas cheer and he gives them NOTHING.
Familiar faces were Anna Clinton and Avery Lee, Whitney and Claire Cothern, Lissa and her girls(yes one of those would be Susan) and many others. They sang Away in a Manger perfectly. For you Greenwood people that may be reading this you will see that Avery has forgotten some of her Jo Quinn Smith lessons from music at Pillow Academy. In this picture it does not look like she is opening her mouth wide enough to where she can enunciate the words properly. Avery for your sake I hope that Mrs. Smith does not read my blog.
All in all is was great. McNeil was entertained and it seemed like at the end Foster was puckering his lips. So he must have seen someone to his likings out there.

Norris Christmas Party

Last Friday we had a great time at the Norris Christmas Party. I am so glad that Stephanie and Jay are cousins. Otherwise I do not know if I would have made this prestigious affair.
Here are few photos of the event. We were the last to leave and the only ones to be thrown out. In my defense...I did not have a watch on, Jay's sister was babysitting and it was a great time....so how in the world was I suppose to know that it was 1:30?
In the photos are me and Delia, Jay and Jack Norris and then the last two are of the Norris girls and the Norris family.
You will see that it is an off gaurd picture of the Norris girls. I am posting this because I want you all to see Ashley's eyes. These are the eyes I got at the end of the night. The other picture is of the guys saying, "please don't leave" and then there is Stephanie yawning hinting that it is time to go.
If I could make it up to Sarah I would by her beautiful house...unfortunately we are still in recession.

McNeil met Santa.

We had great time at River Hills Saturday. McNeil met Santa and did not want to get out of his lap. That is very opposite of Foster's first meeting with Santa. Foster did not care for Santa this year either. He would not even get in his lap to tell him what he wanted fo Christmas. Ho sad:(

We ran in to Avery Lee and got a cute pcture with her too.

Hanging around....

Here are a few photos of the boys from Saturday morning. McNeil is trying to crawl off the couch in one. I am impressed that he looked up at the camera when I called his name. The other is the two of them hanging out on the couch together.

Sweet McNeil's Baptism

November 1st was McNeil's baptism. It was a wonderful day and we are so thankful that our families were there to share it. Here are some photos of the day.

Sarah Few is the coolest person ever!

Last night Sarah was in town with Newt. We have always known that Sarah gets to work with these powerful political minds, but it was great to see her in action. She and Newt seemed like they were BFF. He also knows how to work a room and say the right things.
Newt came up to the three of us said that we reminded him of his wife and her best college friends. Of course we loved that! Then someone came up and said that he needed to get a picture with the congressman's family(Gregg Harper) and he told them to wait and continued talking to us.
So thanks to Sarah we had a great night and felt more important than the congressman's family.

Haunted House at River Hills

We met a big group at River Hills last night for the haunted house and "Pasta Night.". Foster did not care too much for the vampire in the haunted house, but other than that he had a great night. This Halloween has been a lot of fun. Foster has really gotten into spirit week at the daycare and loves putting on his lion costume.

Daddy, Foster and McNeil

This is a picture and McNeil and Henry Fitch. McNeil is 6 months and Henry is 9 months.

Random photos

Here are some face shots of Foster's best buds! They have been together since day one. It sounds like they may even stay together through grade school. It is going to be blast watching these guys grow up.

Daycare Pumpkin Patch Trip

We had so much fun at the pumpkin patch with Foster's daycare class. It was a little cold and wet, but it did not stop the kids(and myself) from having a great time. They were able go on a hayride and see all kinds of animals. At the end we stopped at the pumpkin patch and picked out a pumpkin. Foster talked about it all weekend.

Chi Omega State Day

Tuesday was the early arrival party for the 2009 Chi Omega State Day in Jackson, MS. It was a lot of fun catching up with friends that I never see. I even got to visit with Amanda Gaston. What a thrill!! HeeHeeHee:)

Here is a picture of Amanda Puckett, Avery Lee, me and Germaine Benoit. We had fun catching up in the zebra room. Forgive me for my strange pose in the picture. The zebra was drooling down the back of my neck. It was not very pleasant.

As crazy as it sounds the zebra and I had a great conversation. This morning I felt a little like Dr. Doolittle. It seems that animals have taken a likin' to me. On the way to work a squirrel ran out in front of my car. He turned, looked at me sharply and I swear I saw him mouth hello.

SO if any of you are having trouble with your animals give me a call. I think I have potential of being a great "animal whiperer" and I owe it all to the zebra I met last night.

Greenwood

The boys and I went to Greenwood Wednesday night. Jay is out of town all week and I had to work in Oxford on Thursday so Mom and Dad came to the rescue. They watched McNeil and Foster for me while I went to Oxford. Thursday night we went to see our newest cousin Anna Claire. She is as cute as you can imagine Charlie and Lucy's child to be. We started taking pictures and Anna Claire just could not stop smiling. I think she is going to be a vain as her Dad.
McNeil and Anna Claire are three months apart. Although McNeil is much bigger and Anna Claire is the only girl out of 7 cousins, it looks like she will be able to hold her on. Check out her right hook. She was really giving it to McNeil.
Foster started getting jealous of the attention and insisted on jumping into the pictures. So there is one of him too.

Walt and Swayze stopped by before football practice and I got some good pictures of them too.

Pee Wee for the Pillow boys.

What is better than one pillow boy that can beat your booty....it is two pillow boys that can beat your booty!! The word I heard is that they were hitting the kids so hard that they thought they were seeing two...and in reality they really were:) Mentally...they are going to freak their opponents out!

After this Saturday when Allison and Reese saw Sam Bradford (oklahoma) go down with a possible season ending injury, they decided it would be smart to go ahead and get two $15 million insurance policies for any broken bones that Walt and Swayze may incur this season in pee-wee.

Undefeated and loving it!

Jay's heart may be with the Mississippi College Choctaws, but his family will make him a Rebel by the end of the season.

Foster is proud of his Colonel Reb. If you come to our house he will take you to every room and show you Colonel Reb out the window.

Random Sunday night photos

Last night I finally charged the battery in my camera to get some pictures of McNeil. I was also able to get a few of the two of them together too. McNeil is 3 and 1/2 months in these pictures.
McNeil loves taking a bath. He can laugh really well and loves to do it often. It really does not take much to get him started.
I took a picture of the two of them, but Foster took a nose dive off of the slide yesterday. So his nose is a little red.
The one of McNeil on the turtle was Foster's idea. He wanted him to ride Crush (that is the turtle in Nemo).

Our last day....we didn't want to come up.
