I'm Two!!

Foster's 2nd Birthday

Here are some photos of the day. Everyone was there except for Allison, Reese, Walt, Swayze, John Sharp, Charlie and Lucy. Not that I noticed.....Foster just asked where they were when everyone left. So sad:(

Foster's Birthday Cake Served on a Silver Platter!!!

I have to admit. I was not planning on doing anything big for Foster's b'day. I really did not even invite the family over until the Tuesday before. However, I was good about ordering the cake ahead of time.
I emailed Jill Tinnin with what I wanted and just asked to do her best. Well, it was unbelievable. When I picked it up I was so thrilled. It inspired me to go out and get things for the house to make sure that Foster had a nice party. Jill made the cake in shape of Nemo(which we have watched 987 times over the past month) and it was spectacular. Foster loved it.

If you all need a cake, I highly recommend Jill. Even my brother-in-law, Mark McLemore, approved and he is quite the critic. I am adding her blog to my list in you need her contact information.

Here is a picture of the cake. You will also notice a real Nemo to the right of the cake. Jay was just as excited when he saw the cake and went out that morning to get Foster a real one.

Long Live Celine!!!!

Jay and I had the pleasure of going to the Celine Dion concert on Thursday night. It was everything I hoped it would be. From the people watching to the unbelievable performance, i would rate it as one of the best nights ever.
Sitting in the row below us were 4 couples and they could not have been a day over 72. I think it is safe to guess that was 50% of the audience. Then you would see a lot of married couples that were our age. Apparently, I was not the only person that has been hounding their husband for 5 years to go to a Celine concert. Then the rest of the audience were groups of women that came together to see Celine (it would have been a great place for a man to hit on a woman).
As the concert went on it became more and more amazing how much Celine and I sound alike. The higher she hit the notes the more we were together in our performances. Of course 1000's were able to enjoy hers and only Jay had the pleasure of hearing me.
At the end Celine had to pay tribute to her heritage and she sang a song in french. The little bambino started kicking really hard during this song. I think this is an omen that our son is going to be bilingual.
Anyway, we had a great time and I am so happy that Jay did this for me. What a GREAT husband!!!

Nutt visits Shefield Court

Andrew Ritter (kicker for JA) had Houston Nutt over for a visit on Tuesday. I believe that is the day he signed with Ole Miss too. Well, Andrew lives across the street from my sister. So all of the kids in the neighborhood dressed up in their Ole Miss clothes and made signs. They stood on the street holding the signs for his arrival. When he drove around the corner Nutt and his entourage stooped the car. Nutt got out and took pictures and signed autographs. The Ritter's said that the coaches talked about their reception for ten minutes. Apparently, Nutt has never experienced what those kids did for them Tuesday. I wish Julie had called us so little Foster could have gotten in the picture. He was already dressed in his Ole Miss warm-ups and did not even know Nutt was in town.
Andrew does not know me, but CONGRATS! You picked a great school.

My nephew, James, is in the middle.

Head start on Foster's education.

Jay and I decided we needed to get a head start on Foster's education. So we took him to the Museum of Natural Science on Saturday. They still had the dinosaur exhibit so Foster was able to get a a glimpse of those too. It was a fun few hours. I have never been real good at these exhibits. I remember going to see Catherine the Great in Memphis and I think I was through with it in about 25 minutes. It took my parents a couple of hours. Thankfully Jay was there Saturday to slow me down and that let Foster enjoy the animals.

New Year's Day 2009

New Year's day we went over to Justin and Nina Fitch's for black eye peas, cabbage and pork. Nina is two weeks from her due date and crazy to host all of these people at her house. Stephanie and Jack Norris brought their twin girls. Of course, they were perfect. I wish I had pictures to share of them. Wendy and Michael Russ brought Warner and their newborn little girl, Reese. And of course, Foster's buddy Cam Walker was there too.

Visiting with friends....

We were able to go over to Vicksburg to see Ann and her crazy life with Maggie and the twins. Ame Middleton was still in town so she brought Rivers and Ellis and Germaine decided to join us too. It was a lot of fun. Fortunately all of our college friends had lunch together a few days earlier, because I do not think we really visited. We just watched the kids.
Here are a few shots of everyone except the twins. They went down for a nap before we left, but they were very cute and entertaining. In these pictures you can see that Foster does not like to get his picture taken or either he really likes to check out the girls and is not paying attention to anyone.
Rivers and Ellis were so fun to watch. You could see that Rivers is protective of her little sister. I that Foster will be that way with his little brother.

Funny Masks from NYE 2009

The table behind us at Ruth's Chris put on the funniest mask towards the end of the night. I just had to take pictures. I wish I had before and after shots. Once they put these on you could not tell who they were. It was hilarious. I have got to find them for next year.

Nina and Justin's baby is due in the next few weeks. We documented there last "NICE" meal on NYE.

NYE

NYE was calm but fun. We ate at Ruth's Chris and had a very nice meal with excellant company. Shaun and Rivers Walker, Justin and Nina Fitch, Andy and Tress Johnson and Elizabeth and Jeff Upchurch joined us. Here are some photos of the night.

Christmas Day

Christmas was wonderful. Foster was shocked when he walked around the couch and saw there were new toys for him to play with. Michael came by Christmas morning and delivered his Christmas present to Foster. It was really sweet. He always gives the best gifts!!! Of course Foster is a little late getting Michael his gift, but it is coming.

Jay is the only one that would do what I asked. I guess my heart is full of Jay. HAHAHAHAHA!!!!

4 Hearts

For Christmas Mom gave all of the girls their on hearts. She puts these out every Valentine's and has had them on the roof when we have all gotten married. No one wanted to take their picture with the hearts put I made them do it. I wish everyone had put there head through the middle. It would have been much funnier!!

It is hard to believe that it has been since last year that I have updated my blog. I have a few pictures from our Christmas in G'wood that I thought were cute. Here is a shot with my two sisters. You can tell that I am the pregnant one in the middle.
The other pictures are of Foster and his Uncle Reese and Swayze helping Foster open his presents.
