Risky Business

TOM CRUISE.....EAT YOUR HEART OUT!

Sad memories

I just had to take a picture of these Flamingos. When I was in the first grade, I took art lessons from Mrs. G. I really enjoyed going over to her house and playing in all the colors.
Anyway, it was the end of the year and I had my masterpiece. It was a painting of a flamingo. I remember the compliments that Mrs. G gave me. I could not wait to enter it into the local art show. There was no way I was going to lose. That last day of class I signed my work just as every other artist in this world does.
Well the show was a few weeks later and I did not place. I could not understand why. How could such a beautiful and colorful painting(by me) not win first prize, especially when everyone was telling me how great it was. Then they filled me in and told me that it was my signature. Apparently, it was to go on the back or even on the bottom right, but not in large letters between the flamingo's legs.
After that I never painted again.

The Jackson Zoo

We have all been locked up in the house for a week, but this Saturday we could not take it anymore. Jay and I took Foster and Harris to the Zoo. That is the first time I have been to the Zoo since the Allman Brothers played in '94 or '95.
I was impressed and Foster and Harris loved it. I think Harris just liked getting his picture made. It seems like every cage we came upon, Harris wanted me to take his picture. It was exhausting.
Foster just liked that it wasn't crowded and he could run around.

Here are some photos. The first one is of Jay and the boys, then you see Harris in front of the monkey cage(he is the cousin that always acts like there is a monkey on his back), Foster is looking for Captain Kirk in this picture and wanting him to beam him up and last is my pregnant self in front on the largest animal(keep your comments to yourself).
